Covia Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Covia mobile app, including accounts, discovery, connection requests, messaging, subscriptions, and related services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Covia, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or related services.
2. Description of the Service
Covia is a social app for discovering people around local plans, shared interests, and open-to-connect signals. The app may include profile creation, discovery, explore groups, plan requests, inbox decisions, messaging, media sharing, blocking, reporting, and premium features.
Covia helps users make introductions and start conversations. Covia does not guarantee that any user will receive requests, make connections, meet in person, or have a specific social outcome.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Covia.
- You must provide accurate account and profile information.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- You may not impersonate another person or create misleading profiles.
- You are responsible for maintaining access to your Apple, Google, or email sign-in method.
4. User Content
You are responsible for the photos, videos, messages, profile text, plan signals, and other content you upload, send, or display through Covia.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, display, transmit, and process your content as needed to operate, improve, moderate, and support Covia.
You may not upload or send content that is illegal, abusive, harassing, exploitative, sexually explicit, hateful, deceptive, invasive of privacy, or that violates someone else's rights.
5. Local Plans and Real-World Safety
Covia may help users find people who are open to similar plans or activities, but users are solely responsible for their real-world decisions, interactions, meetings, transportation, costs, and safety.
Use judgment when sharing personal information or meeting someone in person. Meet in public places, tell someone you trust, and report suspicious or unsafe behavior.
6. Connection Requests, Inbox, and Messaging
Covia may allow users to send plan or connection requests, accept, pass, shortlist, block, report, and message other users. We may limit, review, restrict, or remove requests, messages, accounts, or content to protect the service and its users.
You may not spam users, automate requests, harass people, pressure people to respond, or use Covia to coordinate unlawful, unsafe, or exploitative activity.
7. Subscriptions and Billing
- Covia Pro features may be offered through auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through Apple In-App Purchase.
- Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund handling are subject to Apple's systems and policies.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your Apple Account settings before renewal.
- Premium benefits may change as Covia evolves, but active subscribers will keep access to the paid entitlement available for their subscription tier.
If the app is distributed through the Apple App Store, your use of the app may also be subject to Apple's standard licensed application terms at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- violate any law, regulation, platform rule, or third-party right;
- harass, threaten, intimidate, exploit, deceive, or harm another user;
- share unlawful, non-consensual, private, hateful, abusive, or explicit content;
- scrape, copy, automate, reverse engineer, or overload the service;
- bypass safety, rate-limit, subscription, or access controls;
- use Covia for commercial solicitation, spam, scams, or unauthorized advertising; or
- misrepresent your identity, location, age, relationship to another person, or rights to content.
9. Moderation and Enforcement
We may review, remove, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts, content, messages, requests, or access if we believe these Terms were violated, users may be at risk, the service may be abused, or action is needed for legal, safety, or operational reasons.
We are not obligated to monitor all content or interactions, but we may do so where appropriate.
10. Account Deletion
You may request account deletion through the app or by contacting us. Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, safety, moderation, fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, or backup integrity.
11. Intellectual Property
Covia, including its name, branding, software, interface, product design, and service materials, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of Covia or any service materials to you.
12. Service Changes and Availability
We may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Covia at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that any feature will remain available in its current form.
13. Disclaimers
Covia is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We do not verify every user statement, profile, photo, plan, or message. We do not guarantee compatibility, safety, trustworthiness, availability, social outcomes, or real-world behavior of any user.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, personal opportunities, or business opportunities arising from your use of Covia.
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from your use of Covia, your content, your real-world interactions, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of Covia after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
